The United States Hispanic Leadership Institute seeks qualified Spring interns to join their team in their Chicago office for a minimum of 10 hours per week.
Internships are available in the following areas:
COMMUNICATION AND DIGITAL MEDIA
Key Responsibilities
- Assist team members with day-to day tasks
- Answer phones and take messages
- Conduct outreach for programming
- Create and maintain a social media campaign
- Curate content for social media and our website
- Research & maintain our media database
Requirements
- Undergraduate or recent graduate
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Relevant coursework and/or major
RESEARCH
Key Responsibilities
- Assist team members with day-to day tasks
- Answer phones and take messages
- Conduct outreach for programming
- Research school district demographics
- Research & maintain college fair database
- Assist with the Almanac of Latino Politics
Requirements
- Undergraduate or recent graduate
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Relevant coursework and/or major
ADMINISTRATION
Key Responsibilities
- Assist team members with day-to day tasks
- Answer phones and take messages
- Conduct outreach for programming
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
- Create flyers & agendas for meetings
- Coordinate travel arrangements for supervisors
